Ted Exercises with America’s Best Bike Rides – Day 64 of 90

Hi America. This is day 64 of Ted’s blog/vlog and we’re in Mike McCormack’s spin class studio. This is a Wednesday night spin class and nobody’s quite here yet. We got here a little early, trying to shoot some footage. I did the spin class last night. Pretty intense. Michael had a pretty intense spin class going and I don’t know if he did it specifically just to torture me and my cameraman, but it was a good one. My legs are still attached today and I think the pain issue or anything like that is gone now. My legs are just tired now, they’re not sore and I think I’m starting to get used to it. That’s the scary part.

So, I’ve done four spin classes and this will be my fifth and hopefully every time I do it, it will get a little easier. I’m going to see what it’s like doing the spin classes back to back. I’m looking forward to the spin class tonight and I’m sure there will a be a lot of people here to help me give myself a little support. For example, watching the other people my age pedaling on their stationary bikes twice as fast as me. Or whatever else it is. I don’t know. Anything that will give me motivation to keep pedaling harder and faster on my spin bike and not give up so I’ll do the whole spin class. It’s about an hour and 15 minutes.

I have no idea how many calories I’ve burned off. Last night when I did the bike ride, when I was done I took my t-shirt off and it was literally soaked in sweat. So maybe I’ll do another little shoot tonight afterwards and take a look at my t-shirt and see how much sweat I have coming off of me. Taking a spin class is definitely something you can do to burn a lot of calories and sweat is a good indicator of how many calories you’re burning. So, anyway, I’m looking forward to Michael’s spin class tonight. It’s going to start at 5:30 and I’m just going to try to hang in there and finish it. That’s my mission. I’ll talk to you later.
